Commerical Vs. Holistc Diet Affects On The Body by: Oren Headen
The contemporary junk food
and fast food diet is based upon denatured, highly refined, processed,
genetically altered and synthetically chemicalized non-foods. This
modern stuff looks like food, tastes like food, smells like food, but
amounts to chemical waste and/or synthetic dirt. In fact, there is no
commercial food that is safe to eat. The chemicals that compose
commercial foods interfere with the body's ability to function use
enzymes, amino acids, minerals, fats and vitamins. Synthetic chemicals
age and deteriorate the health. Synthetic chemicals have slow and
delayed effects that do not appear for weeks or months after they are
consumed. When the effects of the chemicals appear, they are oftern
misdiagnosed as flu, infection, V.D., hearth attack, AIDS, allergies,
headaches, tension, stress, depression, fatigue, tingling toes or
fingers, constipation etc. These chemicals slowly eat away the body,
putting it on a downward progression, which affects the body in 5, 10,
and 15 to 50 years.
Real food is composed of nutrients (vitamins
and minerals), carbohydrates (starches), fats and proteins, which
provide energy. Carhohydrates are quick energy foods. They are usually
classified as starches, sugars, cellulose, gums and storage food energy
called glycogen. The pancreas secretes the hormone insulin, which
stimulates enzymes to break down the carbhohydrates.
Fasts are
the slowest burning energy source. They are composed of smaller
substances called fatty acids. Some fatty acids can build themselves
into larger groups of fatty acids. These types of fatty acids are
called poly (many)-saturated. This type of fat is usually in a solid
form. Polyunsaturated fats are found in vegetable oils, soybeans, corn,
etc. Saturated fatty acids are usually found in animal fats, cow's
milk, beef, pork etc. The fat intake in the diet of most people in
this country is over 40% of the calories (a unit of measuring heat).
The traditional vegetarian type diet is usually composed of 10% or
fewer units of fat energy.
Proteins (vegetable and animal flesh)
are composed of smaller substances called amino acids. The body does
not store excess protein. Excess protein is changed into fat and
absorbed in organs (heart, kidney, etc.) or in muscle tissue or as
stored cellulite. It is dangerous to eat too much protein, especially
from animal sources.
It is commonly felt that in order to build
human muscle (and proteins) one must eat lean animal flesh muscle
(protein). This is clearly not the case. The vegetarian, vegan and
fruitarian diet has protein levels which are optimum at low levels.
Vegetarians eat high amounts of raw chlorophyll. Chlorophyll stabilizes
protein; thus, vegetarians require less protein. Carbohydrates build
protein and also reduce protein requirements. Eating increases cellular
destruction, raises the blood acid level, and therefore increases
protein requirements.
A combination of various nuts, seeds,
whole grains (wheat) and beans is a good protein balance. Animal flesh
is not composed of all the amino acids and meat is not a balanced
protein. The nutrients in fresh fruits and vegetables have amino
acids, as well as chlorphyll that stablilize amino acids and this
reduces the protein requirement for vegetarians. Vegeterians use amino
acids to make protein.
Cattle get their protean from plants.
Plants are the source of amino acids, which are used to make proteins.
Meat eaters wait for animals to eat the plant protein and then they eat
the animal. Meat is a second hand protein. The food animals merely act
as a middle passage for protein. Vegetable proteins such as corn,
millet, legumes, nuts and seeds are sources of proteins that produce
high fertility rate. Eating the sex hormone and adrenalin saturated,
antibiotic steroid, growth hormone, pesticide and chemicalized animal
corpses does not provide compete proteins. It does increase the acid
content in the blood; degenerates the health, causes cancer, fibroid
tumors, arthritis, bone loss, diabetes, prostate disease, sex
addiction, allergies and is highly constipating. Meat does harm the the
health.About the author: Oren Headen is the Edition of Art of the Warrior, Martial Arts Magazine, 2007 International Martial Arts Spirit Award Winner, Ranked #1 in Self-Defense for the PKC Region 1 2007 year, Winner of the Mid-West Regional "Day of Champions" Self-Defense Winner, internationaly published freelance writer and co-author of "100 Ways To Stop An Attacker in 4 Moves or Less"
